The Duramax Tuner DT118000002000 Stealth STR Turbocharger is an excellent upgrade over the stock turbo in your 2017-2019 GM 6.6L Duramax L5P. This turbocharger features an 11-blade custom billet compressor wheel that delivers a wide range of efficiency without having to worry about surge. This stock-appearing unit spools quickly to provide enough airflow to support up to 650 HP with supporting mods while still being great for daily driving, towing, and street use. No custom tuning is required to install this turbo and it will work seamlessly with box tuners.

If you are uncertain if you need an actuator to compliment this turbo, Duramax Tuner states the L5P actuator has a very low failure rate in the field. This turbo is cooled and not close to any of the hot engine parts meaning that it's out of harm's way. Unless diagnostic codes indicate there is an issue with the actuator or know for certain that your actuator is damaged, Duramax Tuner suggests saving your money and utilizing your factory actuator.
