Greenline Diesel Performance
About This Product
Improves heat reduction 31% or more on 2001-2007 and 2011-2019 6.6L Duramax engines. The older the truck, the greater the gain. Ready for pressure or temperature sensor. Includes all necessary hardware and oil filter.
Fitment Note
At the heart of the new system is GM's 2020 Duramax L5P oil cooler. This cooler rejects heat 22% better at the factory-rated 450 horsepower when tested against the earlier 2017-2019 unit. The difference between the two coolers is even more apparent at higher engine speed and load. 3300 RPM, 600 HP tests show a 31% greater heat reduction over the stock 2017-2019 oil cooler. The higher the horsepower, the greater the improvement.
Why It's Better
At the factory-rated 450 horsepower output, the upgraded 19-plate cooler rejects heat 22% better compared to earlier 2017-2019 OE 14-plate oil coolers.
Tuned to 600 horsepower with a higher rpm speed and load, the difference between the two coolers is even larger, with 31% greater heat rejection.
Heat rejection gains are even more impressive on older Duramax engines, which use 10 or 11-plate factory coolers from 01-07 or 11-16 models.
These additional cooling plates and improved oil flow increase the available surface area utilized for heat transfer, shedding more BTUs of heat while maintaining proper oil pressure.
Banks proudly uses the Amsoil EAO17 oil filter for its superior filtration properties and low oil pressure loss.
Exceeds OEM filtration specs:
99% efficiency @ 20 microns
Fits all 2001-2007 and 2011-2019 Duramax engines*
Hardware, gaskets, and a AMSOIL EAO17 oil filter are included as well as a pre-installed 1/8” NPT port for oil temperature/pressure sensors.
*Due to Enhanced EGR cooling, Kit does not fit late 2007.5-10 LMM Duramax Engines
